How do I know that the money is not being used for other purposes
The foundation is largely independently funded, with the vast majority of expenses not covered by donations. The fact that we are operating demonstrates our intentions.
How much money is spent on salaries
Currently, all of the foundation’s activities are carried out on a voluntary basis. We have no employees.
Can I benefit from tax deductions for donations made as an individual
Yes, cash donations to NGOs may be tax deductible, but they are subject to certain limits (e.g., up to 10% of the individual’s annual taxable income), according to the Tax Code. It is necessary to keep the supporting document (receipt, bank statement) for a possible request from the National Agency for Fiscal Administration (ANAF).
What tax benefits do sponsoring companies enjoy (Profit Tax/Microenterprises)?
Companies (paying income tax) can deduct the amounts paid as sponsorship from the income tax due, up to a limit of 0.75% of turnover and 20% of the income tax due. To benefit from this facility, the beneficiary NGO must be registered in the Register of Religious Entities/Units at ANAF.
