Summer camp for teenagers
The first project we are preparing for delivery as part of the Leaders of the FUTURE program is a summer camp, organized in our city – Oradea – which we have named City Camp Be S.M.A.R.T.. The main theme of the camp is (self)leadership and it is aimed at teenagers aged between 15 and 18.
We are delighted to be partnering with the Oradea Community Foundation, which has provided us with the Comuniteca space, where we will spend five of the six days of the camp. The generous space will allow us to interact with 30 teenagers eager to understand how (self)leadership can help them take a step closer to what they want to become in life.
The camp will take place over six consecutive days, from July 1 to July 6, 2024, between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. The first five days will include engaging lessons on leadership topics, games that help put the concepts learned into practice, discussions on important topics related to life in general, as well as exercise, coffee breaks, and lunch breaks. Except for the last day, Saturday, which will take place in the park, because it will be all about exercise.
S.M.A.R.T. is an acronym for the topics covered during the five days of leadership training. Namely:
S – Successful or I am the winner is a theme that brings into discussion personal attitude and values as essential elements in achieving success.
M – Motivated or I am my priority is about the choices we make and how our priorities influence those choices.
A – All In or My influence is my relationships because we need to accept that we are influenced and influence others in the context of the relationships we choose to cultivate.
R – Remarkable or My future is in my hands because the choices we make today shape who we will be and what we will have tomorrow, and we need awareness and planning.
T – Transformed or I give and I gain because happiness lies in the act of giving, and personal transformation into a person who gives today contributes greatly to tomorrow’s success.
And day 6 is the S.M.A.R.T. culmination of the other 5 days, with a program of exercise and pushing your limits in a safe yet challenging environment.
The program will be supported and coordinated by two exceptional young people.
- Cosmina Dudu, project manager, is a speaker, trainer, and Maxwell Leadership certified coach. Leadership is her passion. She has experienced in various contexts the value of authentic leadership but also the problems caused by people in key positions who lack leadership skills. She loves to share what she knows and applies with those around her. She believes that people have the intrinsic ability to grow and become what they were created to be. With the eyes of her heart, Cosmina sees a bright future for those who are in high school today. That is why she chose to invest time and resources in creating and delivering the Be S.M.A.R.T. program with the aim of helping them become more aware of their true potential, so that they can make conscious choices that will ensure a future worthy of them.

- Ionuț Aron brings with him his experience in Parkour. As a traceur, or Parkour practitioner, he wants to introduce teenagers to a lifestyle that is beneficial not only from the perspective of movement itself, but also as a different approach to life. Ionuț knows the challenges of adolescence and what it’s like when you have to fend for yourself because you don’t get the support you need. But… he discovered in Parkour a way to cope with the challenges (often beyond the power of a simple teenager) that he had to face, and he wants to share this during the six meetings. He has chosen to bring topics such as fear, adaptability, refuge, freedom, and, of course, Parkour to the table for interactive discussions. Ionuț is an enthusiastic young man, and interactions with him are full of positivity and possibilities.
